85 per cent of UK workers surveyed would head back to university this autumn if they were given the chance according to the latest research by online recruiter Monster.
Many of the workers polled said that heading back to education would allow them to achieve their career goals and give them opportunities to learn - something they do not get from their current jobs.
“It is important for employers to challenge their workers to ensure greater job satisfaction and incentive to stay with that employer,” said Julian Acquari, Managing Director, Monster UK and Ireland. “One of the first things many jobseekers look for is evidence of solid training and a clear growth path. In-house and external training schemes can prove a good investment for companies, so that their workers feel up-to-date and in touch with what is going on in the business world. Often if an employee doesn’t feel challenged it can cause demotivation and reduced productivity, as well as their potential departure.”
