Email CV
When you come in to register with Bucks and Berks Recruitment you will need to supply us with an up to date CV. If you have a firm appointment then this can be emailed to the branch in advance.
Interviews
At Bucks and Berks we interview all our candidates in person. We do not conduct phone interviews. If you are unable to come to one of our branches, then, before emailing your CV, contact us to see if we are able to assist you.
Length of Interview/Appointment
The interview with our consultant can take between 30 minutes and 1 hour and will include testing and skills evaluation as detailed below. Please allow yourself enough time.
Testing/Skills Evaluation
During the interview, we may ask you to carry out several skill evaluation tests. Each test takes between 5 and 15 minutes to complete. Many clients insist that candidates are tested before we submit the candidate's CV to them whether they are looking for permanent or temporary work. Please note that this is now common practice with most agencies. The tests and evaluations that we give you will be appropriate to your current skills levels, qualification and work experience.
Proof of identity and your eligibility to work in the UK
We will require proof of identity and your eligibility to work in the UK. You will need to bring your original passport or your full birth certificate and proof of your NI number to your interview at Bucks and Berks.
References
Whether you are looking for permanent or temporary work, details of two contactable workplace referees are required. This will usually cover the last three-year period. Personal references are not acceptable for these purposes.
References are normally taken up via e-mail, phone, fax or letter once you have completed the registration process. The references that we obtain will only be used by us and our employer clients in the recruitment process.
If you give us a pre-written reference from a previous employer or letters entitled “To Whom It May Concern”, it is our policy to contact the company or the referee to confirm such a reference. If you do not wish the company or the referee to be contacted then please inform us.
