Communications Officer - FTC until Dec 2019

Our client, based in Stoke Poges, is looking to recruit a Communications Officer on a fixed term contract until December 2019. This role will be responsible for providing communication and PR duties to support the Director of Communication & PR in delivering on strategic objectives.

Our client offers superb benefits including a company bonus, 27 days holiday, early finish on Fridays at 1.30pm plus healthcare and pension.

Although a fixed term contract until Dec 2019 there is a good chance the role will go permanent or the contract extended.

Duties

  • Drafting, reviewing and editing a range of communications for approval and publication to employees across the organisation
  • Organisation of Head Office specific donations via donations panel and quarterly reporting of organisation wide donation log
  • Organisation and delivery of key internal projects such as employee survey, safety awareness campaigns, pension communications
  • Strategy2020 communication/update/Q&A monitoring and co-ordinating timely responses
  • Market analysis monthly newsletter
  • Head Office budgetary controls including raising of purchase orders and regular reporting
  • Monitor and chase meeting actions and occasional minute taking
  • Provide quarterly reporting and analysis of conference attendance tracker/ log
  • Monitor and respond to the internal enquiries inbox
  • Organisation of internal/ external events such as Senior Leadership Forum / Group team meetings / industry association events / Christmas lunch
  • Organisation of Head Office volunteering programme and organisation wide volunteering log reporting
  • Develop / upload / update / audit content to the Company intranet/ internet
  • To undertake ad-hoc duties and administration to support the Director of Corporate Communications


Skills & Experience

  • Relevant work experience, ideally gained within a blue chip organisation
  • Proficient user of MS Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential
  • Good knowledge of CMS
  • Experience of writing within a corporate environment
