Marketing Assistant - 9 Month Maternity Cover

Our client is a world leader in design, manufacturing and marketing of a range of well known brands.

They're looking for an experienced marketing professional to join them for a minimum of 9 months although there is a chance it may be longer. 

Bonus due on completion of contract!!

The main focus of the role is to support the Brand Director in the development and implementation of the EMEA Marketing Communications Plan. This role will take ownership for specific elements of the communications plan from development to execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • To support the Brand Director EMEA in implementing the Marketing Communications Plan
  • Take ownership for elements of the communications plan from development to execution
  • To write and communicate marketing briefs to external agencies
  • To coordinate between internal product management teams and external agencies to deliver print and POS materials to support new product launches
  • To work with the product management teams and local translators to ensure data is maintained within Product Information Management (PIM) software, and to transform this data within PIM to deliver content to various outputs
  • To ensure brand guidelines and values are followed and maintained within locally produced marketing materials across EMEA
  • To coordinate with local marketing teams across EMEA to consolidate order volumes on campaign POS and premiums
  • Utilizing US issued PR and localising material in conjunction with the product management teams and issuing such to the local marketing teams for translation
  • To monitor stock levels of marketing materials in UK, German and French distribution centres via SAP reporting
  • To create quarterly sales and margin reports
  • To support the annual distributor conference through product sample ordering in SAP, coordination with local markets to define delegate lists and name badges, and on-site logistics

Skills/Experience

  • Marketing or related degree preferred
  • Experience of marketing/marketing communications in a consumer/trade focused environment preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • SAP knowledge/experience
  • Experience of Photoshop and Acrobat is preferred
  • Experience across a broad range of marketing communication activity (in-store merchandising, PR, advertising, exhibitions, literature)
  • Experienced in writing and communicating marketing briefs
  • Experience of writing PR (preferred)
  • Experience of using QlikView (preferred)
  • Experience of working across Multi-lingual communications (preferred)
  • Experience of using PIM or MDM software (preferred)
  • Must be prepared to work outside of standard working hours (and stay away from home) when required
