Stock Admin Assistant - looking to get out of retail?

Our client is a thriving retail organisation with their HQ in Marlow. They're expanding and now looking to recruit a bright and motivated individual from a retail background.

The successful candidate will possess strong Excel skills (ideally V-Look Ups and Pivot Tables) and have worked with stock levels in a fast paced environment.

The main focus of this role is to support the stock merchandising team, specifically reviewing and processing store stock requests in a timely manner and ensuring supplier delivery bookings are made promptly with the supplier deliveries being made within agreed timescales.

Duties include

    • Managing store customer order requests as key priority, responding same day before 4pm (Monday to Friday). Other store enquiries need response within 24 hours
    • Review and maintain supplier delivery bookings, ensuring all booking made in a timely manner, and outstanding orders chased
    • Process 'direct ship' orders on daily basis
    • Review and manage issues, to resolve delivery issues or damaged stock on delivery. All supplier delivery issues must be communicated to supplier within 24 hours
    • Arrange stock recalls from store pro-actively on over- stocks or recall lines
    • Liaise with suppliers, warehouse and finance colleagues to resolve any delivery or pricing errors
    • Other ad-hoc duties as reasonably requested. During exceptionally busy periods there may be a requirement for some weekend work (can usually be carried out remotely - a few hours or so)

The successful candidate will

  • Proven commercial awareness
  • A working knowledge of the retail industry
  • Retail shop floor experience an advantage
  • Passionate about delivering the best customer service
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • PC Literate, with a good working knowledge of Excel, including PIVOT and VLOOKUP
  • A positive, 'can do' attitude
