Tender and Maintenance Team Leader

Our client are a global manufacturer and distributor of endoscopes, medical instruments and device. They are currently recruiting for an experience Team Leader in the Tender and Maintenance team. Your main responsibility in this role will be to ensure the growth and sustainability of the business by identifying and administering notices and tender opportunities. To also manage maintenance contract processing. This role will not involve regular travel and time away from home

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor various sourced, apply where necessary complete pre-qualification questionnaires and follow up on documentations
  • Record tenders on database
  • Coordinating the response for all tenders and conducting final reviews
  • Review terms and conditions of tenders
  • Attend pre- and post-tender meetings where necessary
  • Attend tender de-brief meetings (both won and lost) and report back
  • Analysis of performance information
  • Quarterly reporting on tender data including conclusions and areas of concern/improvement
  • Coordinate review meeting and large tenders when received to ensure we optimise potential bids
  • Maintain excel log of all hospital group discount arrangements
  • Attend meetings in conjunction with sales management where required
  • Coordinate pricing requests where required
  • Preparation of presentations, meeting data and materials

Key skills:

  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent
  • GCSE to include English and Mathematics
  • Proficient in Microsoft office to include Word, Excel (intermediate or advanced, Outlook and Access or similar database)
  • Working knowledge of public procurement regulations
  • Experience of managing a small team
  • Financially aware/literate- Experience dealing with tenders or project administration is an absolute requirement
  • Demonstrable experience of completely and submitting tenders in the public sector, preferably health care
  • Experience with SAP is preferred but not essential
  • One or more years in a customer service environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a confident communication style
  • Ability to exercise effective judgement and to adapt to changing needs and situations
  • Accurate and meticulous attention to detail
  • Polite and courteous manner regardless of the situation
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Ability to work under own initiative
