Our client, a busy head office on a large private estate, is looking for an experienced Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join their team and support the Accounts Manager with the day to day running of the department.

This role offers a unique working environment in beautiful surroundings, with 28 days holiday plus pension.

The hours are 8.30 - 5 Mon to Fri with an hour for lunch.

Duties include
Distribute invoices to Heads of Departments and staff members. Chase when invoices are not returned
* When invoices returned, ensure invoices are checked for correct levels of authorisation and input into the relevant accounts programmes
* Invoices to be paid in a timely manner
* Resolving any disputes relating to supplier accounts e.g., outstanding invoices/missing invoices
* Reconciliation of supplier statements
* Online banking and processing of payments
* Daily/weekly bank reconciliations as necessary
* Monthly salaries using Sage 50 Payroll including all adjustments and paperwork e.g., payslips/P45s, etc. Four different payrolls (one large and three small). Input figures onto Farmplan for payment. Monthly P32s and payments year end submissions to HMRC
* Monthly processing of pensions
* Assisting with monthly and annual expenditure reports for submission
* Maintain up-to-date machinery/vehicle lists
* Tenant recharge billing, including invoices, statements and chasing of payments
* Staff utility and telephone recharges. Compiling calculations and summaries and sending out to staff monthly
* Banking: Pay-in cheques as necessary. Collect petty cash as and when requested by relevant staff
