Friendly and well established company based in High Wycombe looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them. Initially on a 12 month contract this has the potential to go permanent.

The main purpose of the role is to provide daily support and assistance with regards to the financial and management accounts for the group.

Salary is £28k – £30k dep on experience plus benefits. Monday to Friday office based.

Duties include

  • Daily posting of bank statements and reconciliation of bank balances
  • Daily bank transfers and import payments
  • Preparation of budget, actual and forecast overhead information and reporting as required to the Financial Controller
  • Weekly preparation of the Group cashflow
  • Monthly inter-company reconciliation and transfers between companies
  • Preparation, submission & payment of all UK companies PAYE/NI returns and VAT Returns
  • Monthly cashbook analysis for Pension Scheme
  • Assist the Financial Controller with the monthly payroll including HRMC online filing.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc management reports
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset registers
  • Preparation and analysis of Group IT expenditure
  • Manage and process the monthly payroll


  • Previous management accounts experience desirable
  • Relevant accounting qualifications desirable
  • Good IT skills, must have experience using Microsoft packages, especially Excel, and can adapt to using different IT systems
  • Team player
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload
