Seeking a personable, professional and dedicated Accounts Assistant to join a small and busy team based in Ascot. Your duties as an accounts assistant will be varied as you will be dealing with parents of the school, local authorities and other colleges as well as under taking credit control and debt collection duties.

Duties:

  • Responsible for banking all cheque and cash payments received
  • Account for all sales ledger receipts
  • Chase all outstanding debts by telephone, email or post, before the use of County Court actions via our chosen debt collection team
  • Assist the Senior Management Accountant with any other accounting or clerical duties required
  • Record and update all bursaries and scholarship awards, as and when information is received from the Charity Services team and the Principal
  • On a timely basis, input all charges, agreeing to source documentation, ensuring all coding of fees is accurate prior to posting and that all applicable discounts are applied correctly

Person Specification

Required:

  • AAT qualified, looking to continue studies with ACCA/CIMA
  • Customer focused and approachable
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, and specifically Excel spreadsheets and databases

Desirable:

  • Experience of using WCBS/PASS accounting systems
  • Experience of working in a charity/third sector organisation or an independent school
