Assistant Brand Manager - food/drink sector experience needed!

Our client, a growing brand in the food and drink sector, is looking for a dynamic and confident Assistant Brand Manager to join their team. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOOD/DRINK SECTOR.

Already well established in the USA, this is a really exciting time to be joining the company as they increase their brand awareness in the UK.

The role will suit a degree educated self-starter, with bags of initiative, drive and energy with experience in marketing/ brand management/ trade marketing.

Primarily office based, but there will be travel to accounts in the South East and nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the brand activation process in partnership with inhouse design team
  • Visiting sites and advising on best brand for the site
  • Monitoring sites after implementation
  • Planning and executing trade show presence
  • Responsible for brand consistency across social media
  • Generating adverts for the trade press
  • Communication to the entire UK Business through various media
  • Development and publication of the fortnightly newsletter
  • Produce, maintain, update and circulate as appropriate, best in class presentations: branding, products and positive impact stories.
  • Maintain relationships with key customer contacts to provide branded and private label solutions
  • Work with the Retail Account Manager to provide branded adverts, gifting lines and customer support for retail wholesalers and retail accounts. Map out this work on an annual basis
  • Recommendations for retail gifting lines
  • Develop corporate communications: brochure/ advertising and PR in collaboration with the Head of Marketing
  • Build and maintain relationships with key foodservice journalists with Head of Marketing
  • Development of brand testimonials to capture and share branded outlet successes
  • Project Management of the Product Guide in collaboration with the Senior Graphic Designer and Head of Marketing
  • The Development, launch and activation of other brands within the portfolio

Within the role there will be the opportunity to manage and develop projects with key accounts and projects that support cross functional internal working

Key Skills/Experience

  • Degree educated (ideally marketing)
  • Experience in marketing/brand management/trade marketing
  • Natural self starter
  • First class communication skills
