Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

Our client are looking for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager with previous operational experience in all F&B department including Restaurants, Bars, Events & Weddings to join their busy team.

Key responsibilities:
- Bridging the operational gap between the Restaurant, Lounge Bar and Meetings and Events teams to ensure a smooth overall F&B operation at all times
- Creating and managing a monthly department training calender to include inductions, all aspects of product knowledge, standards and health and safety training
- Acting as hands on manager on the floor when departmental managers are not on site
- Effectively managing the equipment used in the departments, ensuring stock takes are done on a regular basis and equipment is replaced when needed
- Duty management as required on rota

Key skills:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Departmental Manager or Assistant Manager in a quality 4 * hotels
- Operational experience in all F & B departments including Events & Weddings with a good knowledge of wines & spirits and a passion for fresh, quality food.
- Financial awareness with an understanding of Food & Beverage revenue streams & controls, including POS, ideally Micros
- Self-motivation and able to motivate others to achieve
- Proven man-management, coaching and team building skills
- An outgoing personality, excellent interpersonal skills, a professional manner and excellent command of written & spoken English with good IT skills
