Our client, based in High Wycombe, is looking for an Assistant HR Advisor to join their small HR team, to provide a proactive HR service in relation to recruitment, general HR issues, case work, absence management, performance issues and policies and procedures.

This is an amazing opportunity to provide support, advice and guidance on a wide range of HR matters to staff and managers under the guidance of the HR Manager.

The successful candidate will be CIPD part qualified and have previous generalist experience within an HR department with a desire to develop an HR career.

Duties will include
* Managing the recruitment of specific approved vacancies, ensuring accurate job descriptions and person specifications are in place, sourcing of candidates, logging applications received, arranging interviews, producing interview packs, liaising with recruiting managers, candidates and relevant third parties


* Take part in the selection process for new recruits and internal moves


* Preparation of contracts of employment, offer letters and contractual paperwork ensuring it complies with best HR practice


* Responsible for obtaining and following up on references to progress job offers


* Conduct the HR induction meetings with new starters and ensure the 3/6 month reviews are conducted


* Assist the Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Advisors in providing support, advice and guidance on HR matters and on the application of policies and procedures, casework which may entail gathering information


* Attending meetings for attendance management, performance management, grievance and disciplinary cases, and producing the minutes for such meetings


* Responsible for conducting, recording and circulating the exit interviews


* Assist the necessary administrative tasks associated with day-to-day queries and issues, including being responsible for own filing, updating of HR database etc.


* Responsible for ensuring your own continuing professional development and adhering to the recognised standards of the CIPD

Skills/Experience
* CIPD part qualified


* Proven generalist experience within an HR Department


* Proven experience of managing the recruitment


* Focused on providing excellent service to internal and external

customers and able to build and maintain relationships


* Able to prioritise, plan and organise workload and work to deadlines


* An innovative thinker with an inquiring mind


* Demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills


* Good attention to detail


* Good written and oral communication skills


* Highly IT literate, including Microsoft Office and database skills


* Natural team player


* Desire to develop a career in a generalist HR role


* Passionate about continuous improvement


* Experience of using HRIS desirable but not essential


* Experience of online recruitment and recruitment using social media desirable but not essential
