Bespoke Sales Manager

Our client are an established national supplier of premium food products for Fine Dining, Pastry, Banqueting and Hospitality professionals in the UK.

With real opportunity for growth and strong sales targets in place, the Bespoke Sales Manager will work closely with the Packing Room Manager, NAM's, Area Sales Manager's, Procurement and Marketing, to retain and grow the customer base, develop a pipeline of new business and the ongoing management of the packing room portfolio.

Our client envisage focus within the role to be split approximately 70:30, between a) Identifying new business opportunities and developing a pipeline of prospective customers, and b) Retaining, monitoring, cross-selling and driving sales within the existing customer base, with the support of the relevant Area Sales Managers.

3 days per week field-based
Monday and Friday office based, in Slough

Key responsibilities:
- Plan and prioritise sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, especially managing personal time & productivity.
- Support the sales team in driving sales growth of all Bespoke items whilst protecting maximum margins according to agreed terms
- Visit customers & attend customer visits with Area Sales Managers (ASMs)), in order to;
* Increase business from our current Bespoke customers
* Drive sales from prospects within our current customer base
* Drive new business from our current business sector (food service) as well as new sectors
- Develop and maintain existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods and relevant internal liaison to optimise quality of service and customer satisfaction
- Be the primary sales contact for the sales team on the development of new bespoke products and proactively respond to all customer queries from customer services and sales
- Help generate creative, innovative ideas for bespoke/packing room products in conjunction with the marketing team
- Working closely with the marketing team, help create marketing collateral for the sales team and drive awareness of the Bespoke range within the industry, ensuring key benefits are relevant and clearly communicated for each target audience
- Use SAP/CRM to monitor all daily calls and activities and update all relevant information
- Work closely with the Communications Manager to ensure all activities support the sales & marketing plan and are coordinated with other activities/brands.

Key skills:
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years experience of sales or business development
- Educated to A Level's or equivalent
- Strong understanding of the foodservice market
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, word, powerpoint and excel
- A valid full UK driving licence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation & persuasion skills.
