Bookkeeper - for growing company!

Our client, a small yet growing entrepreneurial company linked to the pharmaceutical industry, is looking to grow their accounts function and are looking to recruit a reliable, capable and organised bookkeeper to join on a full time basis.

The successful candidate will provide day to day finance and accounting support working closely with the Finance Director.

Experience of importation of goods from the Indian sub continent or other area would be ideal but not essential.

Duties and responsibilities:
· Sales ledger posting and reconciliation
· Purchase ledger posting and reconciliation
· Payment of supplier invoices in a timely manner
· Reconciliation of all bank accounts
· Credit control
· VAT returns
· Maintaining an orderly accounting filing system

Experience and skills required:
· Book-keeping experience
· Proficient in Sage, Excel and other office packages
· Good understanding of VAT accounting
· Ability to work quickly and accurately with spreadsheets and accounts
