Bookkeeper (maternity contract)

Our client, based on the outskirts of Wokingham, is seeking a professional and knowledgeable Bookkeeper to join their small team. Working for this not-for-profit organisation, you will be providing full bookkeeping support. Essential key skills required include working knowledge of SAGE 50 Accounts and MS Excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • 4 Full days
  • Must be experienced on SAGE 50 Accounts and MS Excel.
  • Solely responsible for bookkeeping and ensuring all monies, receipts and payments are properly handled and accounted.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all daily transactions and banking all receipts.
  • Cashing cheques.
  • Experience of monitoring expenses, loan books and managing payroll.
  • Maintaining an accurate database.
  • 6 months contract initially and applicants must be available to start mid January to ensure there is a sufficient handover period.
  • Based on the outskirts of Wokingham, so own transport is essential.

Key Skills

  • Working knowledge of SAGE 50 Accounts and MS Excel is essential.
  • A mainly stand-alone role so applicants must be confident and proficient.
  • Ability to work quickly, methodically and accurately.
