Building Facilities Officer

Our client are an International Not-for Profit organisation who specialise in providing information, research and applying scientific expertise to solve problems in agriculture and the environment. This role is working for part of the Facilities team and your aim is to provide a professional and cost effective workplace management service and play a key part in the facilities maintenance services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervision of facilities contractors and service providers
  • Responsible for materials, fire safety equipment and associated maintenance
  • External correspondence on behalf of the client with service providers and contractors
  • Liaise with staff, tenants, service providers and contractors on-site

Key skills:

  • Good knowledge of all aspects of property maintenance and mechanical building services
  • Basic Electrical systems knowledge
  • Plumbing knowledge
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work without supervision and on own initiative
