My client, a world leading consumer health and hygiene company are looking for someone to take on the exciting challenging role as a Commercial Accountant.

If successful you will be responsible for providing a high level of financial support and be given ownership in helping drive the success of some of the worlds biggest brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business partner with the brand marketing teams to develop and build strong relationships so that you are fully involved in their financials
  • Represent finance within brand / category core teams, focused on driving brand growth & profitability
  • Complete ad-hoc financial analysis on UK management projects to ensure robust financials behind decision making process
  • Work within the team to develop new tools & systems to improve the return on trade investment
  • Build quarterly brand forecasting & annual plans
  • Assess and improve the profitability of Category product launches
  • Supervise the UKs marketing budget and spend
  • Perform key tasks within the commercial finance team, to ensure that reporting is both timely & accurate
  • Work within the team to develop new tools & systems to improve the return on marketing investment

Skills/Experience:

  • Qualified or Part Qualified ACA or CIMA with strong Academic background
  • Strong commercial awareness and previous experience of business partnering in a cross functional environment
  • Driven to take on additional responsibility in an organisation that provides a high level of autonomy with ambition to progress your career within commercial finance.
  • Proven track record of building relationships outside of the finance function with well-developed communication skills
  • Confident at the challenging the status quo and both influencing and challenging decisions at a senior management level
  • Multi-tasking - need to be organised, highly efficient and able push multiple projects forward at the same time
  • Entrepreneurial - help the commercial team develop new initiatives / spot and resolve problems
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience of scenario modelling
