Credit Control Assistant - must have strong Excel!

We have a vacancy for a Credit Control Assistant within our client's UK Finance team, reporting to the Credit Control Manager. This is a 12-14 months fixed term contract.


This role will assist the Credit Control Manager in daily functions and all aspects of accounts receivable. Our client offers a great working environment, free parking and excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
Allocation of receipts including applying cash settlements, deductions; through to resolutions
Creating and administering of schedules, chasing payment on invoices and queries
Processing of order hold report, reviewing order release or escalations as necessary
Assist in the creation of the weekly cashflow forecast
Assist in the presentation FOB shipping documentation and updating logs
Creation of monthly account statements
Ad-hoc customer account reconciliations
Creation of new customer accounts including credit checks and application form review to ensure completeness
To assist the Queries department as required
Any other ad-hoc tasks that may be required to assist the Credit Control Manager and Finance Team in general.

Skills Required
Relevant credit control experience
Attention to details and good analytical skills
Excellent telephone manner with ability to be firm when required
Ability to work to tight deadlines in a methodical & organised manner
Good communication skills
Able to work well within a team environment but also with limited supervision
Good knowledge of Excel is essential
Experience with SAP would be an advantage
