Desktop Support Engineer - 6 Week FTC

Our client are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to work in their Group IT team providing IT services to 15 offices across the UK and Ireland. This is a 6 week fixed term contract (possibly extension to around 8 weeks if needed) and is based in Reading, offering a salary equivalent to £50k (annual).

Key Responsibilities:
* Work on 2nd line support tickets
* Have a can-do attitude towards requests with excellent customer service to end users
* Provide onsite desk and remote support
* There may be a requirement to travel to another office (travel will be paid for)
* Follow best practice, processes and procedures
* Where documentation is lacking, add to the knowledgebase
* Perform new starter set-ups and office moves
* Provision new computers and mobile phones

Key Skills:
- Min. 2 years 2nd line IT support experience, supporting multiple domains and systems
- Experience in Windows 10 builds, desktop support and advanced troubleshooting
- Exchange 2013 and Office 365 experience
- Remote support and networking skills
- Ability to research problems where a documented solution isn't available
- Desirable but not essential: Lync 2013 / Skype 2015 / Hyper V / Dell servers / Powershell / Group policy / DPM backups / Zscaler proxy / Webroot antivirus / mobile phone support / DNS and DHCP / SQL server
