Purpose of job:

Working in a team in a busy office environment to deliver a high standard of service delivery and answering enquiries.

General Responsibilities:

  • Research and deal with a variety of enquiries and questions (email, post and telephone calls)
  • Carry out thorough research and provide information
  • Provide information to enquirers regarding various internal procedures and policies
  • Deal with first level Complaints received by the department
  • Handle enquiries relating to Amendments and additions to records and headstones, and escalate issues so that they can be dealt with appropriately
  • Refer enquirers to other organisations for further information, where appropriate.
  • Escalate non-standard casework to the Enquiries Supervisor, where required
  • Since a large volume of correspondence is handled by the Department, the Enquiries Administrator is required to respond to e-mails & letters and participate in a telephone rota system.

Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • GCSE level education or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in a busy office environment
  • The ability to develop a good working knowledge of the Commission's history, policy and procedures, relating to Commemoration
