External Affairs Co-ordinator

A successful non-for-profit organisation, based near High Wycombe are currently recruiting an External Affairs Co-ordinator to provide advice and assistance on the organisations research programme and external affairs activity.

Key Duties

* Coordinate apprenticeship activity including liaison with Commercial team to get monthly apprenticeship Management Information from training providers
* Monitor RoATP (Register of apprenticeship training providers) and contact providers that are not accredited with company to add to prospect database
* Weekly check of careers site to source case study content for social media use
* Undertake competitor analysis every quarter of similar professional bodies
* Provide secretariat support for weekly team meetings and help support requests when team members are out of office.
* Requisitioning and managing purchase orders and assisting with other finance tasks, including budget tracking to monitor spend
* Working with researchers to produce posters or other formats such as infographics to showcase their research
* Supporting External Affairs\Research and other educational events and providing administrative assistance when required
* Providing coordination to the production of Research Summaries working with Research Manager, technical writers and authors
* Supporting research dissemination by working with academics and authors to create research blogs and leading the production of the monthly research newsletter
* Managing research and external affairs content on the organisations website, for example helping to produce web text, by adding graphs to report pages, creating links between different areas of content or suggesting a structure for a new resources area on the site

Key Skills & Experience

* Educated to degree level
* 2 to 3 years' experience of world in a work environment that is outward facing e.g. PR communications, marketing or similar.
* Budget management experience
* Knowledge of the educational and research environment
* Ability to build effective business relationships
* Effective PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* Strong ability to produce clear written documentation
* Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
* Well-developed teamwork skills
