Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join our client, a successful property company based in Beaconsfield.
A background in finance isn’t essential but this could be a great role for someone looking to develop their career down the accounts/finance route! In this busy and varied role, the Finance Administrator is responsible for all the utilities administration across the property portfolio, plus accounts admin, purchase ledger and billing support.
Excellent salary + bonus + benefits. This is an office based role Monday to Friday.
Duties include
- Register utility invoices and checking through incomplete, rejected and held invoices and managing through to payment
- Update and maintain the utility spreadsheet for meter readings, usage, queries, contracts, billing dates, change of tenancies
- Manage tenant utilities recharges
- Liaise with utility suppliers, manage supplier statements and apply for credits/refunds
- Utility contracts: Manage, maintain and liaise with broker
- Utilities administration: Manage meter reads and change of tenancies
- Investigating high usage properties to reduce energy consumption
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of business rates and council tax instalments
- Registering and reconciling utilities, rates and council tax direct debits
- Managing the PL for certain key supplier accounts and supporting PL as cover
- Billing and receipting support
- Coding and posting journals
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Bank reconciliation for utilities account
- Audit support preparation
Skills/Experience
- Experience in a similar role would be ideal but not essential (must have excellent admin skills)
- Excellent numeracy and accuracy
- IT literate with excellent Excel skills (strong at manipulating and structuring data)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable working style
- Team player
- Ability to work autonomously
- Organised and capable of coordinating cross departmental processes
- Self-motivated
