Financial Analyst

Our client, a world-class manufacturing company behind some very famous brands, is recruiting a Financial Controller to join the European Headquarters based in Marlow.

The role will involve strong interactions with various functions across the Company, within the EMEA region - CEO, CFO, VPs, countries' finance teams and department managers.

Our client is offering a salary of up to £40,000 plus 10% bonus plus excellent benefits.

Key Duties

  • Supporting the monthly closing process by actively managing the results, incl. creating accruals or journals to be posted by the accounting team
  • Delivery of accurate and complete monthly reporting for actuals and the year to go forecast
  • Monthly capital expenditure reporting and forecasting
  • Preparation of production cost estimates and standard vs. actual product costing analysis
  • Analyse purchase price variances and recommend actions to avoid or minimize them
  • Monitoring and control of the marketing budget and regularly reviewing it with the central marketing team
  • Aligning the intercompany recharges for advertising and promotional activities with both the Central marketing team and the countries' marketing managers
  • Participate in other projects for internal process optimization and cost saving initiatives
  • Analysing and presenting the monthly results to the department managers, while identifying potential risks and opportunities
  • Supporting the budget process, including planning, reporting and presenting
  • Developing new reports and analyses to drive profitability and strategic decisions
  • Actively participating in the development of new and improvement of existing processes and proce-dures for internal control

Skill/Experience

  • Part qualified ACA/CIM/ACCA
  • Good understanding of financial KPI's
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively as part of a team
  • Confident and persuasive individual with inquisitive mind
  • FMCG sector experience preferred
  • Excellent MS Office skills including Excel (Advanced level), PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience with SAP and QlikView desirable
