Front of House Receptionist

Our well established client, based in a stunning location surrounded by acres of private land, with easy access from the M40 and M4 is looking for an experienced Receptionist to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the front desk and to deliver a first class professional customer service to their guests. The successful candidate will be friendly and personable with a good understanding of IT systems.

Normal reception shift patterns (7am to 3.30pm and 3pm to 10.30pm) apply to ensure reception is covered from 7am until 10.30pm every day however to meet the demand of the business there may be slight changes to these timings. Evening and weekend duties are shared fairly amongst the Reception Team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer the switchboard within three rings and transfer calls to the correct departments and announce calls whenever you are not dealing with customers
  • Efficient and professional at all times when dealing with customer queries and complaints. You are expected to inform the Front of House Manager of any complaints made by any customer
  • Perform other administrative tasks required by our clients such as copying, printing and collating of documents and booking of taxis
  • Responsible for the preparation of customer bills and for the processing of the payment transactions
  • Taking deposits and payment for any kind of event and for raising invoices
  • Ensure relevant charges are correctly applied to customer room accounts ready for payment to be received at check out
  • Raising payment invoices and taking payment
  • Manage the photocopier recharges for individual companies
  • Reserve and recharge taxi requirements for individual companies following the booking procedure in place
  • Balance the daily float checks
  • Maintain correct stationary levels at all times
  • Sort the daily post
