Our client, often voted one of the best companies to work for in the UK, is looking to hire an experienced candidate to join their team on an initial maternity cover contract (but with a strong possibility of going permanent)

Please note our client would consider 4 days per week, as well as full time.

This fast-paced role will give you an insight into the overall sales process and the opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on experience. As an Operations Assistant, you will be an important part of the Operations Team, engaging with the sales teams, understanding the importance of both the finance and purchasing teams prior to order, and the customer services team from basic to very complex orders and returns.

This is a unique opportunity to develop a number of different skills and experience working with numerous parts of the business, enabling you to gain a real understanding of how the business operates.

Duties include
* Validating and checking sales orders
* Helping to manage exceptional deals and temporary purchase orders
* Knowledge and support identifying fraudulent attempts
* Ensuring orders are placed with preferred distributors and using our agreed commercials
* Assisting with the held orders and invoicing report
* Maintaining supplier relationships and commercials
* Checking and maintain data in operational reports
* Working with finance, purchasing and accounts payable to help resolve invoicing issues
* Assisting with onboarding new suppliers
* Support the Operations team with general day to day organisation and execution of tasks and activities

Skills/Experience
* Attention to detail
* Excellent organisation skills
* Ability to multi task and prioritise workload - good time management
* Strong communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with others (internally and externally)
* Process driven
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
