A fantastic opportunity for a confident, bright and bubbly Junior Business Analyst to join our well established client based in Bourne End. This would be an excellent entry level role for a graduate with some SQL knowledge however training will be given!!

The role involves using a range of tools, techniques and data sources to carry out day-to-day and ad-hoc data analysis, to interpret and present insights to colleagues across the business.

Other departments such as marketing, buying and sales rely on the reports and data produced by this team so the role also involves communicating and liaising with other areas of the business. Plus, this team is also required to present their data and reports at various team meetings.

Duties:

  • Assist with the production of a weekly update on business trends by close of business each Monday
  • Produce a weekly report of new competitor products and promotions for the Buying Team
  • Design and build reporting tools in a suitable format such as Excel, Power BI, VBA or C# to deliver tangible reporting and process efficiencies to clients across the business
  • Create regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, charts and statistics, in a timely fashion as required by members of the business and external suppliers, using data and queries from a range of sources
  • Assist the Head of Business Support with the detailed analysis of the profitability of products, suppliers and routes to market
  • Assist with the production of monthly and quarterly reports
  • Maintain the Reports Library on the server as a structured centralised knowledge and reference resource for the business
  • Monitor sales and analytics trends and identify underlying and emerging trends, bringing them to the attention of relevant budget holders in a timely fashion, including findings that can be used for PR or that have the potential for unexploited gain
