Our client, a dynamic and highly successful technology services company with an international client base, is seeking a Graduate Regulatory Engineer to fulfil an exciting and varied role in an expanding, ambitious and driven company.

This position is dual-natured, balancing both technical and business skills, in a light-engineering environment.

This position is therefore ideally suited to someone with a technical / engineering background who enjoys applying their knowledge to deliver excellent results in a business environment.
Duties include
* Preparing and submitting Type Approval application files to government regulatory Authorities
* Tracking status and driving the Type Approval process to ensure deadlines are met
* Assisting with customer enquiries and research and providing day to day support for customers and its internal account managers on a range of radio type approval and technical matters
* Reviewing technical product documents (such as test reports, circuit and PCB layout diagrams) to ensure they are suitable for Type Approval and product certification applications
* Preparing and pre-testing engineering samples before they are shipped to overseas test laboratories
* Verifying and supplementing the test instructions so that they are targeted for their intended audience and can easily be understood by overseas engineers and technicians
* Supporting formal testing at overseas type approval test laboratories, as needed
* Managing and supporting international research projects on new technologies
* Providing support, training and leadership to type approval project managers and coordinators on technical matters

* Educated to bachelor's degree (or equivalent level) in an Engineering or Physical Sciences Discipline (Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science etc), or previous experience in a similar role
* Have an excellent command of the English languages (both written and spoken)
* Fluency in a second language - (preferably French or Spanish) will be a bonus
* Be practically minded and enjoy 'hands-on' practical work
* Have excellent relationship building skills
* Good knowledge of computers and MS Office Professional suite
* Be familiar with, or willing to learn conformance testing for modern data-communication technologies (e.g. Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi), Bluetooth, RFID, Zigbee, GSM, UMTS, LTE etc)
* Experience with EU / FCC Directives (e.g. Radio Equipment Directive) is advantageous.
* Experience in a laboratory environment advantageous
* Interest in troubleshooting computers and networking hardware and software is advantageous
* Willing to travel internationally (<10% of the time)

In return, the Graduate Regulatory Engineer will receive a salary of £23,000 to £25,000 per annum depending on experience plus an excellent benefits package, including contributory company pension and full support and training.
