Hotel Controller

Our client, a luxury 4 star hotel in the centre of Windsor, are seeking a Hotel Controller to be responsible for the financial functions of the hotel and to help achieve its budgeted revenues.

Key Responsibilities:
- Audit the day to day business ensuring that revenue control policies and procedures are fully implemented
- Ensure that all expenditure is controlled and managed via the correct system and according to purchasing policies, procedures and standards.
- Produce accurate revenue forecasts in liaison with relevant line managers
- Ensure that there is an effective system of Food & Beverage Control in liaison with F&B managers and Head Chef
- Review rotas and payroll costs and variances with HR to ensure accurate wage forecasts
- Complete month end control tasks and procedures
- Manage two Accounts Assistants and a Storeman
- Review and report the overall performance of the hotel on a monthly basis in liaison with the senior management team
- Carry out Duty Management on a rota basis

Key Skills:
- A solid background in all functions of a hotel control office with at least 2 years experience at supervisory level
- Knowledge of F&B control, stock inventories, reception and night audit procedures
- Proficient in MS Office including intermediate Excel skills, and working knowledge of PMS systems including Opera and Micros
- Highly organised and accurate with excellend attention to detail
- Assertive and proactive, able to work to deadlines
- Previous experience as a Duty Manager would be beneficial
