Insurance Claims Manager

Our client, a growing insurance company based in Aylesbury, is looking to recruit a Claims Manager to join them.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of a team of claims technicians by coordinating operations to ensure that the unit meets its financial, quality and customer service targets.

The successful candidate will have strong management experience gained in an insurance environment and be CII (Certificate in Insurance) qualified.

Duties

  • Day to day running of a team of claims technicians
  • Reduce financial leakage on claims
  • Understand the customer (Insurer, policyholder…) needs & requirements
  • To assist in prioritising work to ensure key SLA's are delivered
  • Day to day demand and capacity planning and management of the Control Centre
  • Constantly review current working practices and re-engineer business processes to deliver best practice
  • Implement change programmes in line with agreed projects and initiatives
  • Carry out 121's on all staff when required and provide relevant feedback to staff
  • Carry out regular audits of the team's performance
  • Assist in delivering training and coaching
  • Communicate with all other areas of the business to ensure service delivery
  • Communicate regularly with Control Centre staff to ensure that key business objectives and messages are clearly understood and actioned
  • Support the business in resolving complaints
  • Managing low level complaints

Skills/Experience

  • Performance Management
  • Operational experience required
  • Relationship building
  • CII Certificate In Insurance qualified
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive can do attitude
  • Good analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
