Our client, a global leader in delivering software solutions to medium and large companies is looking to recruit an IT Systems Engineer to support IT and security strategies provide by the management team.


IT Support and Helpdesk Management:

  • Interact with local users on all levels to resolve IT related issues and provide support in a timely manner
  • Provide Windows 10 software installations and upgrades using SCCM
  • Have a working knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365 and OneDrive
  • Support client operating system upgrades and provide end user assistance where required
  • Manage procurement of required end user hardware and software in line with IT strategy
  • Manage Helpdesk Cases to ensure all cases are dealt with on time; end user support may be provided face to face, via phone, email or Skype
  • Provide knowledge sharing to both colleagues and end users
  • Management of IT assets


  • Assist the IT Manager with the overall management of the UK server environments.
  • Troubleshoot and manage environments including VMware vCenter, Windows Server, EMC SAN storage and Veritas Backup Exec
  • Fileserver management; network shares and secure Print Server
  • Maintenance and provision of all existing and new virtual environments for customer projects
  • Assisting the Upgrade Team with adhoc server builds
  • IT management of the training suite (Maintain Training PC's)
  • Liaise with IT service providers and support


  • Ensure that all local meeting/presentation room equipment and networking is functioning correctly
  • Ensure that all printers/copiers/scanners are working correctly and coordinate with the leasing company for maintenance and support

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to support the end users as part of the UK Helpdesk Team
  • Good knowledge of Windows 10
  • Good knowledge of iOS and Android
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure (Windows Server, VM, Backups, etc.)
  • Excellent ability to meet deadlines and a sense of urgency in accomplishing goals
  • A passion for delivering a high level of customer service
  • Ability to work to service levels and understand the value and importance of responsiveness and communication
  • A good understanding of the expanding requirements for IT security and governance.
  • Adaptable and able to quickly react to change in a positive manner
