Role: Learning and Development Officer
Location: Slough
Salary: £35,000 - £37,000
Hours: 9am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities

· To provide learning & development opportunities to practitioners across the company

· To develop a dedicated internal training and development programme

· To undertake annual needs and analysis of annual appraisals and PDP's of skills and knowledge

· To support the development of a workforce planning strategy

· To embed a coaching culture and seeking ways to align values

· To manage a delegated training budget

· Develop and deploy E- Learning

· To support the Practice Development Manager in attracting, recruiting, training

· To identify learning and development needs to continually improve upon

· To keep abreast of changing contexts and standards at local and national level

Key Skills

· Previous success in developing / implementing Training / workforce development programmes

· Up to date knowledge of current legislation e.g. The Children's Act 1989 and 2004

· Experience of preparing, writing and presenting business plans, action plans, strategies and reports

· Experience of commissioning and managing contracts

· Demonstrable experience of eLearning solutions and website maintenance

· Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills

· Excellent verbal, written and IT skills, to produce

· Public sector experience preferable
