Lending Manager

My client are part of the financial services industry, who provide simple savings and loans products to their members.

They are looking to add a Lending Manager to their established lending team to help drive the loans performance for the business whilst ensuring they make the right lending decisions.

Key responsibilities:
- Lending and managing their loans team to deliver a high quality and efficient loans service to their membership
- Development and delivery of departmental objectives that support the overall achievement of the company business plan
- Implement and deliver against the Lending Policy whilst taking steps to manage the potential for delinquent debt
- Work with the COO and CEO to review the lending policy and make changes to help drive better outcomes for our members and business whilst effectively managing the risks
- Underwrite high-risk or high value loans as per the lending policy and relevant levels of authority

Key skills:
- Previous experience of leading and managing a lending/loans team
- Previous experience of underwriting high-risk or high value loans
- Maths & English grade C or above (ESSENTIAL)
- Financial Services / personal lending qualification or willingness to work towards. (ESSENTIAL)
- A clear understanding of ethical lending standards (ESSENTIAL)
- Solid knowledge of loan underwriting best practice (ESSENTIAL)
- A clear understanding of the expectations of regulatory bodies in relation to lending (ESSENTIAL)
