Our client, a friendly and successful company based in Maidenhead, is looking for a Logistics and Customer Support Assistant to join their team.

This person is the main point of contact for day to day enquiries for the warehouse, and is responsible for the picking of orders, stock replenishment, stock transfers and also provides excellent customer service and administrative support when required alongside the Customer Service team.

This is a proactive, cross functional role, where you will be working closely with customers, Sales Managers, the Service Team and Customer Service Team to ensure a seamless journey for their customers.

There is no heavy lifting.

The position is Monday to Friday 8.30 - 5 and is paying £21,000 plus benefits.

Duties include
* Correctly pick orders for same day dispatch
* Loading the orders onto TNT for dispatch
* Prepare and maintain the weekly forecast for inbound deliveries
* Process returns as soon as they are received and alert the Customer Service team so that the correct action can be taken
* Assist the Customer Service team with the mailbox, responding quickly to quote requests, upsell additional products and provide the product information to enable the customer to make an informed decision
* Ensure that relationships with new and existing customers are developed and maximize business potential
* Educate the customer on products and provide solutions to their needs
* Proactive calls to promote our products to customers in line with targeted mailshots and as and when the business requires it
* Ensure solid product knowledge across the product range
* Identify customer trends, in particular if a customer start to down trade

Skills and Experience

* Experience within a logistics role
* Order processing on an ERP system
* Works quickly and efficiently
* Managing workload in a busy environment, working both on emails and telephone calls
* Good written and verbal communications skills
* Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and working under pressure
* A "can-do" attitude and a willingness to learn and engage
* Experience working cross functions
