A fantastic new opportunity has come up, working as a Meetings and Events Sales Manager for a 4 star hotel based in Gerrards Cross.

This is a brand new role and will involve proactive sales, targeting corporate business for the hotel. My client is looking for someone who has previous Sales experience working for a 4 star property.

£32k basic plus incentive scheme.

Key responsibilities:

  • Proactive account management of existing clients to grow revenue
  • Establishing key relationships with corporate clients and agencies to ensure maximum exposure and increase revenue
  • Proactively selling the venue to new clients, identifying opportunities for new business through research, cold calling, networking events, etc.
  • Achieving sales targets and expanding the business
  • Attending trade shows & exhibitions and undertaking show rounds and hosting potential clients
  • Actively seeking and supporting marketing opportunities for the venue

Key skills:

  • Strong experience in proactive sales in events/hospitality including account management including previous experience in a similar role and property with experience of the Corporate and MICE market
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Self-starter, ambitious and driven to succeed with the ability to work to strict pressured deadlines
  • Creative and innovative in thinking and approach
  • A "can-do" attitude and be motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery
  • Partnership working at both operational and strategic levels
  • Knowledge of Database management, CRM and management of email and direct mailings to different audiences
  • Experience with PMS systems and associated IT software
  • Be well presented with excellent social skills
