Our client, a well-established manufacturer, is looking for a hard-working Order Processing Administrator to join their Finance team. The role holder will coordinate and process the order and invoice facility for external and internal clients and ensure the smooth delivery of items by carrying out the relevant procedures; complete documentation; keep systems updated and deal with any queries or problems as promptly as possible.

The successful candidate with possess good Excel skills and be available at short notice. Although this is a maternity cover contract, due to growth, there is a good chance the role may be made permanent in the future.

Knowledge of Sage is a definite advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process orders and raise invoices
  • Update systems in accordance with procedure (for order acknowledgements etc)
  • Perform credit checks to obtain credit limit for new/existing customers
  • Inform relevant departments of potential credit risks
  • Raise picking list and dispatch documentation
  • Liaise with the warehouse and customers for delivery date/methods
  • Record monthly sales figures for merchants, stockists and distributors
  • Assist with orders for Export, including currency conversions and specific packing requirements
  • Inform Internal Sales of any incoming orders against quotations to enable status to be updated on Sage CRM
  • Generate end of month order reporting analysis within Excel

Key Skills:

  • Highly numerate with a financial background
  • Excellent customer service
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills on all levels
  • IT skills (proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook) and the ability to use internal software and IT packages including Sage 200, Sage Constructs and Sage CRM
  • Ability to prioritise workload
