Our client is an established national supplier of premium products for Fine Dining, Pastry and Hospitality in the UK based in Slough.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience and willing to bring this structure into a smaller team whilst maintaining the high standard and high profitability of the department.

As well as a competitive salary and bonus scheme there is real opportunity for growth within the role, the Packing Room Manager will work closely with a dedicated Sales Manager, who is tasked with building the customer base and product portfolio of packing room items.

Main responsibilities:

- Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the packing room and related operational decisions to ensure quality, safety and efficiency.

- Manage, train and motivate the packing room team

- Brief the team daily/weekly and lead team meetings, meet with the team quarterly to discuss and review KPIs

- Be the first point of contact for all packing room related issues or concerns and proactively communicate information within the department and between departments in a clear, concise and timely manner

- Perform quality checks on completed jobs orders and ensure they are picked and dispatched as requested

- Manage & order stock from the Warehouse, as required, to complete the jobs on order

- Forecast stock according to orders and workflow and liaise closely with both the Bespoke Sales Manager and Purchasing Team to meet deadlines and ensure smooth stock flow

- Be proficient in SAP and use SAP to order stock and upload orders

- Ensure Health & Safety requirements are met and meet with the QA Manager regularly for regular updates

Main Skills:

- Experience in forecast Planning and/or stock management

- Strong team management skills

- Familiar with production or packaging lines and/or knowledge of industry best practice

- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

- Excellent Attention to detail

- Excellent analytical skills

- Process driven; ability to prioritise, build workload schedules and work to tight deadlines

- Excellent communication skills
