Part Time Jewellery Buyer & Stock Controller

Our client, an online jewellery brand that designs, manufactures and distributes within the UK and internationally, is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Buyer and Stock Controller to join them on a part time basis - 2/3 days per week.

Experience in jewellery buying is a must. An ability to understand how product is sourced and negotiated is also essential. A full grasp of reporting, with strong Excel, will be necessary to ensure our product catalogue evolves appropriately.

There is flexibility with this role to work from home maybe 1 day a week.

Primarily you will be working alongside our Business Development team however as the business is small you will also work with all other departments of the business; sales and customer service, logistics, accounts.

Primary duties will include

  • Buying new lines quarterly
  • Ensuring all product meets EU Testing Standards
  • Stock and sales reporting
  • Utilising our stock system to optimise stock position
  • Replenishing stock levels
  • Catalogue maintenance
  • Stock forecasting in advance of demand

To be successful in this role, candidates will require the following experience and skills:

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and numeracy skills
  • Be a motivated self starter and willing to embrace ownership and responsibility,
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Good at building working relationships
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills - Able to prioritise, and plan workloads
  • In depth experience of Microsoft Excel- specifically working knowledge of vlookups and pivot tables
