Purchasing and Order Liaison Administrator

Our client, are an established company, specialising in the manufacturing and distribution of medical instruments and devices. As the Purchasing and Order Liaison, your main responsibility and purpose in this role is the procurement of finished goods, customer orders and maintain minimum stock levels.

Key responsibilities:

  • Receive and action incoming telephone, fax or email, internal and external customer enquiries regarding procurement requirements
  • Process all administration for procurement
  • Ensure all internal customers are proactively updated on the status of their orders
  • Establish stock requirements through negative, minimum and pre-order stock reports
  • Where applicable, obtain quotes and placing orders for finished goods
  • Provide information on expected deliveries to customers and colleagues as required
  • Run stock allocations
  • Contact suppliers to progress customer orders, check stock
  • Maintain files

Key skills:

  • Educated to GCSE level with a minimum of Grade C in English Language and Maths
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work calmly and under pressure
  • Knowledge using Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with SAP ERP Sales and Distribution
  • Ability to work under own initiative
