Quality Control Technical Admin - contract until Feb '20

Our client, a leading organisation based in Lane End, is looking for a Quality Control Technical Administrator to join them on a fixed term contract until February 2020.

A large part of the role will be data entry, and the successful candidate must have technical engineering expertise and be able to think from a technical viewpoint.

They will be report writing and running statistical reports with the ability to do basic analysis of faulty parts.

Experience/knowledge in calibration is essential.

Key Duties
* Data entry into multiple systems, including archiving of all documentation relating to the historical testing of our products
* General admin support to the Quality Control team
* Creating statistical reports and daily transaction sheets
* Organise and manage all controlled documentation within the department, such as test instructions, drawings etc.
* Continually monitoring and updating Quality Control work instructions, processes, templates, forms etc.
* Preparation and compilation of product validation manuals on request by the customer
* Create product certification (Conformance, Test, Calibration, FAT) on request
* Undertake calibration of external equipment returned by the customer or supplier
* Calibration of new product equipment as required by the customer
* Calibration of internal test and measuring equipment owned throughout the business
* Arrange external calibration of specific test equipment, using approved suppliers
* Entry of calibration measurements and certification upload on to our online calibration system
* Publication of weekly report specifying QC owned equipment overdue or nearing calibration expiration
* Lead process mapping exercises to streamline working practices
* Support the adoption of Lean Six Sigma philosophies to optimise operational efficiencies.

* Previous experience working in a Technical Administrative role
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness
* Ability to work in a cohesive motivated team.
* Good organisational skills with an ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
* Dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards at all times.
* Able to work to defined working standards and instructions.
* Awareness and exposure to calibration activities.
* Experience with data analysis and the publication of statistical reports.
* Experience coordinating with suppliers and customers, both internal and external.
* Proven track record of identifying process improvements

* NVQ or higher in Engineering / Technical field
* Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles.
* Basic understanding of Engineering concepts and principles
* Basic understanding of fluid dynamics (pressures and flows)
* Appreciation & awareness of ISO9001
