Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Salary - £35-£45k
Location - Ashford, Kent

Reporting to: Managing Director

Ensuring that all projects are delivered to meet both financial and service level expectations. You will work to implement a continual improvement system which incrementally enhances project management and financial / commercial controls. Drive financial performance ensuring that profit targets are met and that all commercial matters are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner.

Commercial & Contractual
* Analysis of tender allowances
* Ensure specification differences are correctly recorded and customers informed on time and in the appropriate manner to ensure a zero negative financial impact of such differences.
* The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts.
* Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting and agreement of interim valuations in accordance with those dates.
* Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions
* Subcontract and Design Procurement
* Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts
* Submission of Cost Value Reconciliations

* Cash management and maximisation
* Cash Flow and Turnover forecast
* Provision of standard report
* Ensure all commercial and contractual communications are appropriate and timely across all projects
* Approve major purchases and always ensure budgetary and technical compliance (prior to purchase)
* Vet and approve all variation work, ensuring financial viability and compliance with company objectives and strategic goals.
* Ensure applications are done right first time, on time, every time.
* Ensure all sub-contractor engagements are contractually sound and risk for is mitigated.

* Produce a weekly report encompassing all areas under your responsibility, this will include a project by project detail breakdown on performance and progress (financial and program).
* Champion the use of all company systems and drive better performance with better data
