Full Time 8am - 4.30pm/ Term Time only
(+ 10 days to be worked during the school holidays as agreed with line manager)

To provide an effective, efficient and welcoming reception and switchboard service

Key responsibilities:
- Efficient and timely answering of incoming calls to the Senior School
- Greeting and welcoming of visitors - including teaching staff, parents and pupils
- Deal efficiently with enquiries from parents and prospective parents either on the telephone or in person and direct to the appropriate member of staff
- Maintain the reception area and booth, ensuring it is clean and welcoming at all times, with all literature in a presentable condition, restocking as necessary and ensure the noticeboards are up-to-date with school news and announcements
- Daily check and amend the morning and afternoon registers for a number of school actives, such as, clubs and fire registers
- Prepare class lockdown and evacuation lists
- Maintain and printout the staff signing in register, paper registers and registers for key school events when pupils may leave early.

Key skills:
- Excellent administration skills
- Excellent communication skills - must be able to deal with a wide range of people (including parents, Trustees, staff)
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Organisation and prioritisation skills - must be able to deal with visitors and incoming telephone calls at the same time
