A specialist client are looking to recruit a Temporary Communications Manager to work with internal and external stakeholders in delivering key communications activity that support the needs of the business. This role is responsible for ensuring member and client communications are managed and delivered in a timely fashion through various channels including newsletters.

The candidate will also be responsible for the suite of newsletters including scheduling, managing and delivering them to various audiences. Work with the business in identifying, selecting and populating the e-newsletters with the relevant content; writing any required editorial and copy; and commissioning articles where needed to the relevant supplier.

You will also need to work closely with areas of the business and provide communications support in promoting and disseminating key messages and outputs, as defined by the task.

Experience and skills:

  • Experience of developing and managing communication plans and activities
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels both internally and externally
  • Experience of managing, creating and delivering newsletters
  • Experience of creating effective content and analysing impact of campaigns and PR activity
  • Knowledge of PR, social media and content principles and techniques
  • Appreciation of the work of a professional body
  • Ability to produce focused, clear written content
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Well-developed teamwork skills with ability to work autonomously showing initiative and proactivity
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Analytical thinking
