Gemma Hall is our Client Relations Manager for Bucks and Berks Recruitment.

She has been with the company for 2 years and her effervescent personality has injected additional motivation and enthusiasm into the business.

Gemma is a whirlwind of activity, bringing new ideas to the teams on how to proactively target the best candidates and match them to their perfect roles. Her support to the teams is invaluable, offering training and incentives to ensure that motivation is maintained and there is always a buzz in the office.

Gemma's Sales Days are infamous for not only being lively and fun – the last one was themed ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here’ and brought great hilarity into the office – but also for generating an impressive uplift in Sales.

She is a prime example of how enthusiasm spreads throughout the office and has taken time out of her busy day to share some insight into her working life.

What is the first thing you do when you get in?

I say good morning to everyone and then focus on the day ahead.

How do you like to plan your day?

When I come in I like to plan for my day ahead, work out what is a priority and what I would like to achieve that day.
What do you most enjoy about your job?

Interaction with people, variety, making a difference knowing that I am supporting the teams where possible and adding value, along with working in a happy work place.

What is the most interesting role you have worked on?

Starting as a Trainee Consultant working up to become a Senior Consultant. This has been a real journey for me, not having had any experience within recruitment at all, so starting with no experience to then still be in the industry 13 years later and now working as a Client Relations Manager - what a journey!

What is the best or most interesting job you have ever done?

Many years ago I worked on TV commercials and films as a background artist. I also worked as a stand in to a famous actress. Every day was very different and sometimes unexpected - I loved it, got to meet many different people and had a lot of fun along the way working on some great films.

What is your biggest frustration?

Trying to do too many things at once and over committing myself, something I am working on!!!
What is the best bit of advice you would give any new employee?

Be happy, throw yourself into your new role and do the best you can.
What is the best thing about working for Bucks and Berks Recruitment?

Working with a great team, lovely offices within a beautiful location and I really feel I have that work life balance.
What do you do when you get home after work?

I enjoy spending time with my 8 year old daughter and putting my mummy head on!
