This is a great opportunity for an entry level accounts assistant to join a lovely company in Windsor. The role is temporary for around 3 months – this could be extended. It will be full time hours Monday to Friday and 100% office based.
We are ideally looking for someone with some experience within accounts or degree educated (or equivalent) in accounting, finance or mathematics with a desire to further their career within accounts.
Key duties include:
- Process employee expenses accurately and in line with company policies.
- Complete regular bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Process client refunds by bank transfer, following the company’s authorisation and control procedures.
- Monitor client bad debts, maintain accurate records and escalate potential issues appropriately.
- Oversee the daily reconciliation of client receipts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly investigated.
- Take ownership of the sales ledger, including raising invoices, allocating receipts and resolving overdue account queries.
- Prepare and post journals, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation and approval.
- Process overhead and supplier invoices accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Support month-end processes and preparation of supporting schedules.
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation when required.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen financial controls.
- Provide general support to the wider Finance team and undertake other reasonable duties as required.
