Camilla Askew

Recruitment Consultant

Camilla joins the Bucks and Berks family having worked in the property industry for 20 years. Working in lettings for a corporate estate agency covering a large local area, gives her a solid understanding of her target market as well as a wealth of experience in working with professional organisations. Camilla brings her negotiation and people skills to the recruitment sector, transferring her ability to match people to properties, to matching people to the right job and organisation. Her clients and candidates can rely on her to deliver exceptional service levels along the whole recruitment process.

Carly Fulker

Senior Consultant

Carly has worked within the recruitment industry for over 16 years, starting her career at Reed Specialist Recruitment as a trainee temporaries consultant after returning from travelling. She has gone on to excel in temporary, contract and permanent recruitment; gaining both team and personal accolades for her exemplary service to clients and candidates. Carly has supported the recruitment process for international and regional organisations in and around the Thames Valley area. Working across a variety of industries has provided her with a strong understanding of what businesses need to support their continued growth. She wins business and builds a long-lasting relationship with her clients by listening to their individual needs and providing a solution that meets their short and long term recruitment requirements. She is currently working with Bucks and Berks clients to provide temporary and short-term contract personnel.

Lucy Cameron

Principal Consultant

Lucy has worked in the commercial recruitment sector for the majority of her career since joining Brook Street in 2003 as a Trainee Consultant. In her first year, Lucy finished in the Top 20 of permanent consultants throughout the whole of the UK, and found that she had both the skill and passion for a career in recruitment. Since joining Bucks and Berks Recruitment, Lucy has taken on a variety of roles including Business Development, Recruitment Co-ordinator, and her current role of Principal Permanent Consultant managing accounts across Marlow, High Wycombe and the surrounding area. Recently shortlisted as ‘Permanent Consultant of the Year’ at the National IRP Awards, Lucy has worked in the Thames Valley for her whole career and has built excellent longstanding relationships with a wide range of clients and candidates. They come back to her year upon year citing her knowledge, speed, matching ability and honesty as their main reasons.

Sarah Holmes

Support Consultant

Sarah joined Bucks and Berks 15 years ago after graduating from Portsmouth University with a Geographical Science degree. She has covered both Temps and Perms over the years and worked in most branches. Having joined as a Trainee Consultant in the Windsor Branch, she then moved onto the busier Slough Temps desk, where she remained for a few years, moving over to Temps in the before her maternity leave, where she now remains in a Part Time Support role. Sarah thrives on building relationships, ensuring that she gets the best results for both candidates and clients.

Gemma Hall

Head of Commercial

Gemma has worked in the recruitment industry for the past 17 years and during this time has won consultant of the year on a number of occasions, due to her vast experience of delivering to both specialised and high-volume accounts. She began her career working for a leading high street agency specialising in a range of disciplines. On joining Bucks and Berks, Gemma initially worked in a business development capacity, successfully winning new business for the company. She worked closely with consultants as a mentor, using her experience in the role to show them how to develop their desks and driving key sales activity to deliver growth across the business. Currently Gemma manages the day to day operations of the recruitment team.

Jordan Turner

Senior Consultant

Jordan comes from a sales orientated background developing from junior internal sales to a senior field sales position. This experience enables him to quickly understand the requirements of candidates and clients to supply a quick, concise and comprehensive service. Jordan’s strengths lie in his communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. He has developed his career with Bucks and Berks, progressing to Senior Consultant as a result of his continued success in placing candidates within the right organisations. He consistently offers the best service ensuring both candidates and clients return to him for all of their recruitment requirements.

Kirsten Crisford

Brand Manager

Kirsten has worked in Marketing, PR and Branding for over 20 years. She has headed up marketing departments within service and product sectors, increasing the brand penetration of both regional and international organisations. This breadth of experience has given her the ability to plan and execute marketing campaigns that deliver results - from regional direct mailing activity to high impact TV and digital advertising. Working within the recruitment arena for the last 5 years she has used social media and targeted advertising to increase awareness of Bucks and Berks Recruitment in the Thames Valley and built our ‘brand personality’ across these digital platforms. The marketing strategy is focused on supporting consultants in finding the best talent for our clients. She is on hand to tailor campaigns to attract the specific skills sets and appeal to specialist industries.

John Hamilton


As the son of the Lorna Hamilton who started up Bucks and Berks recruitment as we know it today, John has been involved in the business in one way or another all his life. The last 43 years heading up the business and helping it become the recruitment consultancy of choice for businesses based in the Thames Valley. In his current role as Chairman he keeps actively involved in what is going on in the office day to day and enjoys the buzz of a busy and dynamic office.

Elizabeth Harris

Support Consultant

Elizabeth graduated from University with a Degree in Hotel and Catering Management. However, after a few years of working in the hospitality industry, she registered at Bucks and Berks Recruitment looking for a change of career. She soon realised that the career path she was looking for was in recruitment itself. She has been at Bucks and Berks ever since, working in various roles, from permanent and temporaries consultant to Head of Service Delivery. She is now a Support Consultant, bringing her unwavering commitment and enthusiasm to her new role. Elizabeth loves this industry and can’t imagine anything suiting her better than finding jobs for candidates and staff for clients. In recruitment no two days are the same and she thrives in this busy environment. Elizabeth has a passion for excellent customer service and makes sure that everyone around her works to the same high standards, with a positive attitude and a smile on their face.

Joanna Cooper

Managing Director

Joanna has over 20 years’ experience in commercial recruitment within the Thames Valley region. She graduated with a Marketing degree and started her career in recruitment at Bucks and Berks on a busy temporaries desk. These formative years gave the grounding and insight into the value of good account management, candidate attraction and relationship building that is necessary for a successful recruitment business. Joanna used her drive and passion for recruitment to progress to Head of Service Delivery, General Manager and now in the capacity of Managing Director. The company benefits from her experience in sales and marketing to drive the growth of the business, control of the company’s operations and give strategic planning and guidance to the Board of Directors.
