A growing and well-established business in High Wycombe is looking to recruit an experienced Business Support Manager to play a key role in the day-to-day running of the company.
This is a varied, hands-on position where you’ll work closely with the Directors, Service Manager and Project Teams, overseeing business support operations, managing a small team and ensuring the smooth coordination of activities across the business.

Duties include
- Lead and support the Business Support Team, providing guidance, training and day-to-day management.
- Act as the main non-technical support to the Service Manager and wider business.
- Coordinate communication between Service, Projects, Accounts and Management teams.
- Oversee engineer scheduling and job administration, ensuring work is completed efficiently and processed through to invoicing.
- Manage client enquiries, service agreements, maintenance schedules and renewals.
- Prepare, issue and follow up quotations for service, maintenance and remedial works.
- Monitor sales opportunities and provide regular updates to management.
- Support subcontractor and supplier administration.
- Manage client portals, compliance documentation and pre-qualification requirements.
- Produce management reports and identify opportunities to improve systems and processes.
- Support quality, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives, including ISO standards.
Skills/Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in business support, service administration, operations or coordination.
- Experience managing or supervising staff.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and customer service skills.
- Experience using CRM or business management systems.
- The ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution.
Desirable
- Experience within fire protection, engineering, construction or building services.
- Experience supporting service and project-based operations.
- Knowledge of service and maintenance contracts.
- Experience working with ISO 9001 or quality management systems.
- Experience preparing quotations and supporting business development activities.
