Our client is a globally recognised humanitarian charity providing support to vulnerable communities around the world, regardless of faith, race or background.
They are looking for a creative and engaging Content Writer to help bring their work to life through compelling stories, campaigns and communications that inform, inspire and drive action.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled writer who can transform real-life experiences, programme updates and emergency responses into meaningful content that connects with supporters and demonstrates the impact of the charity’s work.
Working closely with fundraising, communications and programme teams, you will create engaging content across a variety of channels, helping to raise awareness, increase engagement and support fundraising activity.
This role is full time, office based in Taplow.
Duties include
- Writing blogs, website content, newsletters, fundraising appeals and reports
- Turning programme updates, case studies and interviews into compelling stories
- Creating campaign messaging, headlines and calls to action
- Producing scripts, captions and written content for social media and video
- Editing and proofreading content to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality
- Supporting integrated marketing and fundraising campaigns
- Assisting with communications during humanitarian emergencies and disaster responses
- Using audience insights and content performance data to improve engagement
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure content aligns with organisational objectives
Skills/Experience
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Experience producing both long-form and short-form content
- A strong ability to identify and tell engaging stories
- Experience creating content for websites, email marketing and social media
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and Google Analytics
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- The ability to simplify complex information into clear, engaging content
- A degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field, or equivalent content writing experience
- A proactive, collaborative approach to work
- A valid UK driving licence
- A genuine interest in humanitarian and charitable work
Desirable
- Experience within the charity, humanitarian or international development sector
- Punjabi or Hindi language skills
