Our client is looking to recruit a proactive and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations across two sites, who is happy to be actively involved in the day to day operations and lead from the front.
This is a varied role that goes beyond traditional warehouse management, incorporating purchasing responsibilities, stock control, supplier liaison, facilities management, and supporting the smooth running of a busy production environment.
They’d also like someone who can develop and implement stock control processes as the business continues to evolve.
Key duties include:
- Managing warehouse operations across two sites
- Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory controls
- Coordinating goods-in deliveries and outbound logistics
- Monitoring stock levels and raising purchase orders
- Matching supplier invoices against purchase orders and goods received notes
- Ensuring warehouse areas remain organised, safe and efficient
- Supporting production teams by ensuring materials are available when required
- Conducting stock checks for clients and auditors
- Managing company vehicle servicing schedules and records
- Coordinating facilities maintenance and external contractors
- Identifying process improvements and implementing best practices
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments
Skills/Experience
- Previous experience supervising a warehouse operation
- Strong stock control and inventory management experience
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good IT skills and confidence using warehouse or stock systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple departments
- A full UK driving licence and confidence driving a van
- A forklift licence
Desirable experience
- Purchasing and supplier management experience
- Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or factory environment
- Print industry experience
