Our client based in High Wycombe is currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk to start as soon as possible. The hours will be full time Monday to Friday and 100% office based. There is plenty of parking on-site.

Essential Skills:
- Previous experience in an accounts payable or purchase ledger role.
- Proficiency with mainstream accounting systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Effective organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy finance environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of the company’s accounts payable function. Your daily responsibilities will include the processing, verification, and reconciliation of supplier invoices, as well as the preparation of supplier payment runs to ensure all payments are made in line with agreed terms.
You will also be involved in reconciling supplier statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
In addition, you will act as a key point of contact for both suppliers and internal departments, providing effective query resolution and supporting strong working relationships.
Beyond the core responsibilities, you will contribute to the finance team’s wider objectives by supporting month-end and year-end processes, and by assisting with process improvements and finance-related projects to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across the function.
