Following a recent change in ownership, our client is entering an exciting new phase of growth – investing in its systems, people, and service capability while pursuing a strategic acquisition programme to expand its UK footprint.

They’re now looking to recruit a Financial Controller to play a key role in managing the day to day financial operations of the business, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, maintaining robust controls, and supporting commercial decision-making.

The role is hands-on and varied – ideal for a technically strong, organised accountant who enjoys improving systems and processes.

You will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, overseeing cash flow, payroll, VAT, and ensuring the integrity of both Sage and Xero accounting systems.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or qualified by experience
  • Proven experience producing management accounts and managing month-end processes
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage and Xero, or similar accounting systems (essential)
  • Experience with stock-based businesses or ERP systems (e.g. Vantage) advantageous
  • High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach
